Originally an oil painter, Joan attended a weekend sculpting workshop and discovered a medium that would bring an exciting dimension to her art. Many if her pieces are inspired by her own experiences and the authenticity and lifelike quality of her work captivates the imagination. Wildlife and anything western, dominates her subject matter.

James Karthein began his decades-long involvement with metal working in a bicycle frame building shop in Toronto, then spent a number of years learning the craft and skills of fabrication in Whistler prior to moving to the valley and starting up his own company.
