Our Mission

We exist to celebrate & energize our community through the arts.

Much of this happens in THE Christina Lake Welcome & Arts Centre.

THE Building's DESIGN REFLECTS HISTORICAL KOOTENAY ARCHITECTURE, LINKING IT WITH THE AREA’S RICH HERITAGE.

IT Is home to the Gallery and many of our live performances.

One of the goals of CLAAS is to get artists out of their own studios to meet other artists, share information and together gain a voice for the arts in our region

What We've Achieved

In 2012 The Boundary District Arts Council BDAC honored CLAAS  for its outstanding contributions to The Arts in The Boundary Region.  The same year we were nominated by KAST (Kootenay Association For Science & Technology) for top innovative organization;  we were thrilled to be among the top four finalists. CLAAS did attain a Top Innovative Community Organization Award from Community Futures.
